Overview

The Hunter skill allows players to trap animals, collect resources like fur and meat, and convert those into leather via drying and tanning. Animal types and yields follow 2004 RuneScape logic but include enhanced mechanics for multipliers and processing tiers.

Resource Multipliers

  • 2x Yield: Total Hunter Level ≥ 190
  • 4x Yield: Total Hunter Level ≥ 350

These multipliers apply to all harvested materials — feathers, meat, fur, and bones. For example, high-level hunters may collect 8–12 feathers from chickens or multiple hides from larger beasts like bears.

Animal Drops

  • Chickens: Feathers, Raw Chicken
  • Rats: Rat Meat
  • Rabbits: Rabbit Meat, Rabbit Fur
  • Wolves: Wolf Fur, Bones
  • Bears: Bear Meat, Bear Fur, Bones
  • Big Cats: Panther or Tiger Fur

Drying & Tanning Mechanics

Fur must be dried before it can be tanned into usable leather. Tanning yields XP and unlocks leather for armor or trade. Both drying and tanning success rates scale with your Hunter level.

Leather Tiers & Requirements

  • Soft Leather (Rabbit): Hunter Level 1+
  • Grey Leather (Wolf): Hunter Level 30+
  • Brown Leather (Bear): Hunter Level 45+
  • Black Leather (Panther/Tiger): Hunter Level 60+

XP Gains

  • Tanning Leather: 100–250 XP per hide (scales with leather tier)

Hunting Tools & Strategy

  • Traps: Snare traps for rabbits, meat traps for carnivores
  • Baiting: Use raw meat or feathers to increase catch chance
  • Firepits: Required for hide drying (must be lit)
  • Automation: Traps and drying can be queued for passive play
  • Ledger of Deeds: Track your total Hunter Level and multiplier status

Track, trap, and tan your way to mastery — Hunter is the backbone of survival.
